I live and work in Oxford, a place known as the city of dreaming spires, and I draw inspiration from the history woven into the fabric of the city.
I specialise in screen printing. The traditional process helps to anchor my art work in a world of fast moving technology. The mixing and application of paints onto paper gives me an immediate connection to printed work.
The process falls somewhere between painting and a mechanised task and the result can produce a quality of finish which is hard to achieve by modern methods, and in my case it's a situation where the artists hand has played a significant role.
Being a member of a Printmakers Co Operative, I can often be found among etching presses and printing tables refining my ideas and techniques (ie. drinking tea and eating biscuits).
